EARN A CHANCE TO COMPETE FOR A $1,000 EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Research from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety confirms that it is not a lack of a young driver's physical skills which contribute to automobile collisions being the #1 cause of death among teenagers, but their attitude and behavior.
To address this inadequacy and to reinforce in young driver's the necessity for a positive attitude and responsible driving behavior, the Clary Foundation, beginning in March of 2011, will award a $1,000 education tuition scholarship to the young driver whom meets the following conditions:
1. Has completed Curb Buster parent taught driver education course
2. His/Her Texas motor vehicle driving record reflects no violations or collisions
3. Prior to December 31 of each year, the Clary Foundation will request parents
authorization to obtain, a copy of the young drivers motor vehicle record.
4.. Names of all young drivers having satisfied conditions 1 & 2 will be placed in a drawing to determine whom receives the $1,000 award.
5. On March 1st of each year, with parents authorization, the Clary Foundation will
announce the winning students name accompanied by their picture on our
website.
6. The scholarship will be placed in a RESTRICTED SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT at
Broadway Bank and submitted to the young driver's choice of educational
endeavor. (college, university, trade or techanical school)
7. For those entering military service, in lieu of furthering their academic
education, the scholarship amount will remain in the Restricted
Scholarship Account until the student completes their military obligation and entrolls in school.
